Janja Glogovac is a internationally acclaimed film director and screenwriter , and creative visionary whose work has captivated audiences worldwide. Her ability to craft compelling narratives and visually stunning productions has earned her films a place at festivals such as Cannes, Rotterdam, IDFA, Raindance, and Valencia, Karlovy Vary, Argentina film festival and many others.

Her feature film L… LIKE LOVE had its world premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival, opened Valencia Film Festival, and was the driving force behind the creation of its Film by Women division. The film also launched the Eurocine 27 festival in Brussels, screening simultaneously in Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon, Barcelona, and Rome. Her short film “F” got an award for the best European short film selected by Paris film Academy at Creteil film festival. The screenplay “F” was awarded by Czech literary found.

Janja is a master of compelling documentary storytelling. Her film TITO was screened at numerous international festivals, including the prestigious IDFA Amsterdam, where it also won a special mention. Her TESLAFY ME, premiered in Los Angeles and was distributed across the U.S., Canada.  MYSTIQUE OF HOTEL PALACE, which documented the renovation of the historic Palace Hotel in Portorose and preserved the rich history of the space through time.

In 2024, she expanded on Tesla’s legacy with NIKOLA TESLA: WAVES OF THE FUTURE, further solidifying her expertise in biographical and scientific storytelling, uncovering the life and genius of Nikola Tesla. The film is in distribution.

Her latest project, HEART OF SALSA, is a journey into the world of salsa culture. Shot across multiple continents, the film celebrates the passion, music, and untold stories of this global dance movement.

Beyond film, Janja’s work spans high-end commercials, music videos, and transmedia storytelling. She also collaborated with world-renowned choreographer Edward Clug on a short poetic films on Radio and Juliet, one of the most internationally toured Slovenian ballet productions of all times.
